Lady Justice

The Roman goddess of Justice (also known as Iustitia or Justitia) is thought to be an allegorical personification of morality in judicial systems. Lady Justice is most often depcited with a set of scales suspended from her right hand, upon which she measures the strength of a given case's arguments. She also is often seen carrying a double-edged sword in her left hand, symbolizing the power of reason and justice, whcih may be weilded for or against the parties bringing the case.
