Globalization, Its Spatial and Ethnic Challenges: A View From the City

This course will cover the impact of globalization processes on jobs distribution in metropolitan areas and how they impact minorities (Blacks, Asians and Latinos) along with the residential distribution of ethnic minorities in metropolitan areas. It also deals with the spatial and social linkages between cities, suburbs, and exurbs and between minorities and non-minority people. It will discuss the questions raised by researchers concerning the ethnic challenges while taking into consideration the urban and spatial framework.
